Binary and binaries – cyborgs, the posthuman, and troubling digital culture

During weeks 8 and 9 we would like you to use your blogs to reflect on and discuss the readings, and tweet (using #ededc) when you have a new post you want to share with us. Here are some discussion questions you can use as a starting point for week 8.

Course participants are also free to invite a friend or colleague to join in with the discussions during these two weeks. Visit the “bring a friend to class” page to find out more.

Also in weeks 8 & 9, please contribute to our collaborative wallwisher story of being posthuman, drawing on the core and secondary readings and attempting to answer for yourself “in what ways am I posthuman”? If you want to, you can bring this in to your lifestream, but feel free not to if you wish for your contributions to remain anonymous. Instead you could choose to reflect in your blog or elsewhere about the story more generally, or respond in other ways to this activity.

Finally, spend time over this fortnight considering, blogging and/or lifestreaming your ideas for your final essay topic.
